Cancelled: Wild Places in the Fiscalini Ranch Forest - Food for Your Soul!
Location: Registrants will be informed of location
Docent: Brian Morgan
Join a knowledgeable docent guide as you wander the forest trails searching for hidden secrets...under logs, behind Monterey Pines, under our feet, and flitting above our heads. Why do we feel better when we stroll by our rich understory plants and the trees that protect them? Is the air we breathe healthier for us here? Who were the Indigenous people who lived on the Central Coast as much as 10,000 years ago? When did they evolve to tribes? Were they aggressive warriors, or peaceful families?
Uncover the secrets of the ranch forest while taking an easy 2 1/2 mile stroll on forest trails with very little elevation gain. The walk is free and open to the public by reservation only. Wear closed toe shoes and clothing that protects from poison oak. Children are welcome with adult supervision. No dogs please. There are no restroom facilities on the Ranch, so plan accordingly!
