2024.08.15 | Boardwalk Construction Underway

Friends of the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve is thrilled to announce that ground has been broken for the linking boardwalk! Construction began on Tuesday, August 6. Since then, QuinCon Construction has carefully placed diamond piers and timbers along the route cleared by West Coast Tree Service. RRM Design created the project plan and SWCA Environmental is providing archeological, cultural, and biological monitoring.

Barring unforeseen conditions, construction should be finished by the end of September.  FFRP volunteers will then install dedication plaques along the curb on either side of the walkway.

This boardwalk will complete an accessible loop between the two most popular coastal routes: the Bluff Trail and Marine Terrace Trails. During construction, that access is blocked off. Progress is easy to observe from the Marine Terrace Trail.
