Become a Force for Nature!
Members and volunteers are the heart and soul of Friends of the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve. From the Board of Directors to the docents who lead guided walks, to the tree planters and Ranch weeders who remove invasive species, it takes everyone working together to protect and maintain the beauty of the Ranch.
Some members and volunteers are new to the area and want to meet others who care about nature, while long-time visitors of the Ranch feel called to help with its upkeep. Either way, working for such a great cause is fun, and it’s a great way to make lasting friendships!

InterEsted in Board Service?
FFRP has a working board, which means that each board member helps out on at least one committee and contributes time to the organization. Some board members help with invasive plant removal, restoration, and trail programs. Others organize educational programs, or oversee finances, fundraising, and events.
Board members average 100 hours of volunteer time each year, including attending meetings. Each board member must also be a member in good standing of FFRP.
Board terms last three years, with the option to renew up to three times for a total of nine years of service. The board has 12 members and meets on the second Tuesday of each month at 4 p.m. Officers include the Chairperson, Vice-Chair, Treasurer, and Secretary. Board members are covered by Directors and Officers Insurance.
FFRP committees are Education, Executive, Finance, Development, Nominating, Ranch, and Restoration.
