Protecting and Sustaining this Natural Treasure

About Friends of the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve (FFRP)

Friends of the Fiscalini Ranch Preserve (FFRP) is a nonprofit group that works to protect and take care of the 437-acre Fiscalini Ranch Preserve. The Ranch is one of the last natural, untouched places on California’s coast, making it a very special place. FFRP works with the Cambria Community Services District to care for the land, restore habitats, and get the community involved.

FFRP has something called a Conservation Easement, which helps keep the Ranch safe and ensures that everyone can enjoy it. The group also watches over the land to make sure it stays healthy. FFRP checks all plans that could affect the Ranch to keep it a beautiful place for everyone.

FFRP helps to take care of the Ranch by:

  • Organizing volunteers to remove harmful plants, fix trails, and plant local species.
  • Offering guided walks with experts to teach visitors about the Ranch’s animals, plants, and history.
  • Holding the annual Cambria Wildflower Show every spring, where over 500 native plants are shown.
  • Raising money to support conservation and community activities.

FFRP also provides a way for the public to get involved in decisions about the Ranch’s management.
